You may have heard of wrinkle-free shirts, but WASEW’s "B.D ONE OXFORD SHIRT" takes a different approach—it makes wrinkles look stylish.
Of course, you can iron it for a polished, elegant appearance. However, wrinkles inevitably form with wear. And that’s where the charm lies. The unique, special fabric used in this shirt turns wrinkles into a feature, adding character to your look.
The "B.D ONE OXFORD SHIRT" is crafted from an original Oxford fabric by WASEW, woven using a vintage loom known as a "Shuttle Loom" (Schonherr Loom) in Bishu, a historic wool production region in Ichinomiya City, Aichi Prefecture.
The Shuttle Loom operates at less than one-tenth the speed of modern high-speed looms, creating a vintage-style fabric that is thick yet "soft and airy." This softness is what makes the wrinkles so appealing. Some of these looms are nearly 100 years old, and since the original manufacturer has gone out of business, the number of operational machines continues to dwindle. Furthermore, with a shortage of skilled successors, it’s uncertain how many more years this fabric can be produced.
This precious fabric has been used to craft the "B.D ONE OXFORD SHIRT," available in three colors: White, Gray, and Black. Here, we present some styling ideas featuring this remarkable shirt.
